A new, feature-filled, speed-optimized and stable version of the popular XTORRENT (xtorrent v1.1) bittorrent app for Mac has recently been released. My experience has been good, and I encourage you to give it a look. The granularity of control over individual files, visibility of resources used, and excellent search capability make this a good choice even for a novice with torrents.
